Comments from Some Prominent Readers: "Young Indian students who gain admission to IIT feel as though they have won the lottery. Indeed, a major element of IIT's success is the students' intense enthusiasm and resourcefulness. This book captures the mystique of the school by examining the institution itself, its esteemed place within Indian culture, and the considerable accomplishments of its graduates around the world." Elizabeth S. Weinreb, Columbia School of Journalism, and Former Associate-Producer CBS 60 Minutes show on IITs " this Book chronicles the remarkable growth of IIT as a new form of higher education for India and the world... The authors have captured not only the international spirit that gave birth to the IIT movement, but also the critical voices of many graduates who are prominent among those now guiding science, technology and higher education in the twenty-first century. Professor Kim Patrick Sebaly, Kent State University, Ohio. Historian, PhD Dissertation on the IITs, University of Michigan "Brand IIT in general has lagged behind the quality of the alumni, and it is time to correct this discrepancy. This private initiative by the authors to raise awareness of IIT and the incredible contributions made by its graduates is highly commendable and provides a ready resource to promote the PAN IIT movement globally... a keepsake coffee table book and a MUST have for every IIT alumni."
